My staff is a multidisciplinary team of professionals who work towards improving the physical and emotional well-being of patients through plastic and reconstructive surgery. Whatever cosmetic or reconstructive procedure you have in mind, our team is ready to deliver. We understand how daunting surgery can be, and we support our patients every step of the way.
Reconstructive microsurgery is a surgical field where specialized operating microscopes and precision instrumentation are utilized to perform intricate operations on tiny structures. This can involve moving tissues from one site on the body to another, repairing nerves or bloodvessels, or even replacing damaged lymphatic channels. Dr Price completed a fellowship in Canada where he learned to perform these technical operations.
CLEFT LIP AND PALATE
An orofacial cleft is when a baby is born with an opening in the lip and/or roof of the mouth (palate). Cleft lip and cleft palate is one of the most common birth defects.
Both cleft lip and cleft palate are treatable. Most children can have surgery to repair them within the first year or two of life. I am a certified volunteer cleft surgeon with Operation Smile.
Women who have surgery as part of their breast cancer treatment may choose breast reconstruction surgery to rebuild the shape and look of the breast. There are different types of breast reconstruction and we offer options using both prosthetic implants as well as autologous tissue. This includes the DIEP and other free flaps.
